POINTS 2 PONDER

POINTS 2 PONDER

  •    We should strive to be sensitive to the suffering of those coping with a particular thorn in the flesh, be they young   or old. Give them special consideration and be careful in what you say, how you say it and how you act.
  •   TO improve the quality of your prayers try meditating before you pray.  Ask yourself: what small part you hope to play in the doing of Jehovah’s will here on earth.  Express to Jehovah your desire to be as useful to him as possible and request his help in carrying out any assignment he gives you. Express your concerns about your material needs, and Jehovah’s urgent protection from afflicting temptations.
  •  To Avoid Self-Deception Keep This Suggestion In Mind:
o   Analyze yourself prayerfully (make honest self-analysis)
o   Listen to others
o   Regularly feed on the bible and bible based publications.
  •   To make sure you are not drifting away reflect on these questions periodically and prayerfully:
o  Do I entertain myself with subject matter I would have shunned years back?
o  Have I become more tolerant of practices that God condemns?
o  Am I inclined to regard spiritual matters less seriously than I did in the past?
o  Does the way I live show that I put kingdom interest first in my life?
  •   Insight into the circumstance of others helps us to understand the extent of hardship they may be experiencing and how they are coping with it.
  •   The most important thing is not where we are serving Jehovah but that we are serving him wholesouled wherever we are.
  •   To Become Skilled as a teacher base your teaching on God’s word, use questions effectively, teach with simplicity and show a sincere interest in others.
  •   Whatever talents, assets or status you enjoy, your life must revolve, not around your secular careers, but around your service to God.
  •   Seek to encourage others by your comments, talks and zealous field service. And when you have a word of encouragement by all means “tell it”.
  •   In displaying brotherly love ask yourself: Do I seldom share in the ministry or social activities with brothers and sisters outside my intimate group? At the Kingdom Hall, do I limit my contact with those newly associated because I believe that they have to earn my friendship over time?
  •   Human rulers forfeit their right to our obedience in situations where they prohibit what God requires or require what God prohibits.
  •  Keeping integrity means that in our day to day life, we will seek above all to please Jehovah God. Our priorities in life will reflect his priorities.
  •   Whatever the nature of our trial may be, there will always be an expression of God’s undeserved kindness that will match it.

  • The secret to being truly free – being able to do what we desire – is to cultivate the right desires, those that harmonize with Jehovah’s personality and standards
